Blue Eyes
The first thing I gazed on were
blue eyes like blue skies with
clouds made of cotton and
freedom forgotten,
So I bit my tongue
and I bided my time,
I couldn't know what to say
to make her be mine,
and I waited and waited
'till I saw her next to me,
and my fears all melted.
I spoke to her softly.
She helped us that day
to find our own way,
and we parted with her,
but that wasn't the end.
If you're still out there
and you hear this song,
know your eyes still own me
and I'll follow...

My Muse
(Blue Eyes II)
I used to cope
before she came;
but now I've seen
those eyes again.
I had to see
my muse once more;
but now I fear
we've closed the door.
How could I think
of me and you?
It felt so right
but was it true?
I want to see
my muse;
but she's the root
of all my blues.
So conflicted
and so torn;
I lie awake
into the dawn.
I cannot see
my muse;
the pain is deep;
some have to lose.
I think I'm getting
old enough
to know
that feelings they do
come
and go.

Meek Ideas
As the modern slave
gazes into an old cage
forged only for the masters
of the previous age;
she might hear a voice
say something like: "Stop!
I'll do my job but I won't turn the other cheek
for those who inherited the earth were never the meek.
What do we see? Still monarchs and bourgeoisie?
The house of lords and the b****** of Canterbury?"
So tell me how did the dream
turn out for your forefathers?
I think you get me unless
H. Ford is your grandfather.
That's H. for Henry and I don't
care if Harrison has a grandson.
Henry was mates with Hitler,
did you know that dumb dumb?
The lies of the magazines and
the press depress me
and I want nothing more
than for it all to just end please!
But that can only happen
when masses breathe revolution;
unite, acknowledge
and challenge prostitution;
inhale Marx;
exhale Lenin;
know your class;
know your enemy;
war is war;
peace is slavery.
Only Victory
Do you feel revolution
coursing through your veins?
Do you know that apathy?
It’s driving me insane.
So I roam and I roam
‘till the tree line is gone
and I see
before me
a red flag
shining bright
like an old star;
a red giant.
And I realised
that the shoulders
of those who
stood before me
are going to help me;
are going to help us
to overcome;
they’re going to save us;
protect us;
from the storm.
Do you feel revolution
coursing through your veins?
Do you know that apathy?
It’s driving me insane.
And if you hear this song
know that you’re not alone;
the workers await
for us to
smash the state!
Break our chains!
Unite in fight
‘till no class remains.
Now we roam the fields;
brothers in arms;
we pursue
only victory.
Do you feel revolution
coursing through your veins?
Do you know that apathy?
Have you seen where it ends?
